Holmegaard Archives Provence

Special edition developed during my employment at Rosendahl Design Group, produced at the original glassworks Holmegaard Værk in Denmark, launched in 2021.

  • Concept development

  • Prototyping at a glass workshop

  • Product development towards hand-made production

The iconic Provence bowl, originally designed by Per Lütken in 1955, is relaunched in a special edition under the Holmegaard Archives' mouth-blown category. The Holmegaard Archives series pays tribute to Danish glass, where Holmegaard, in line with its long and proud craftsmanship traditions, reproduces several of the major archive classics as special editions in new and modern colours. The bowl comes in pink, lavender and confetti. The confetti effect is created by applying small pieces of glass by hand, which lie differently in each piece. The glass pieces blend beautifully into the rose-coloured glass mass, creating abstract lines that follow the shape of the Provence bowl.
